Day Trip to the Amazing Cradle Mountain and its Surrounding Areas

Cradle mountain day trips
When and wherefrom I have started my travel journey is a story. At the initial stages, there was no such options for me to travel anywhere. However, with years, I slowly started growing the eagerness to travel anywhere and everywhere whenever I get chances. I have travelled in several places of the world. I have no such preferences like travelling to the mountains or the beaches. Whenever I get any option of travelling to the mountains or the beaches, I start planning for the tour.

One such fine morning I got an opportunity to visit the Cradle Mountain. The offer was from one of my close friends and he has some connections with the guides of the Cradle Mountain tours. The guidance from local guides is a lucrative option. I have planned for the tour and we two started the journey from Launceston. Starting the journey from Launceston, we entered the northern entrance of the Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair national Park. The park is about 2.5 hours from the starting point and is amazing with all the features of the park. The ancient rainforests, the alpine heaths, the pine fringe glacial lakes and icy streams waterfalls from the rugged mountains are the mind blowing things that can be experienced in the tour.

The diverse vegetation, the grassland, rainforests, the ancient pines, the deciduous beech, the Tasmanian devils, quale, platypus, echidna as well as different bird species are found here. The mountain is the jewel of the park and the Cradle mountain day trips can be amazing. The day trip can be a two hour walk around the lake or spending the whole day attempting the summit of the Cradle Mountain. Lake St Clair, the deepest lake in Australia and the finest mountain terrain of the world mesmerized us. The local guide who was well known by my friend helped us and detailed about the area a lot. Evidences of some of the early European activities of hunting, mining, surveying, logging etc. are still found during the day trip to the Cradle Mountain. Both of us enjoyed the day trip a lot and that is an amazing experience.
